Your taps stay with you

Easy Tap Tempo is a free browser tool at easytaptempo.com. The tempo counter measures the timing of clicks, touches, and keyboard taps on your device. Tap timestamps, BPM readings, and metronome settings stay in browser memory while the page is open. The application does not upload them or save a history of your sessions. Reloading or closing the page clears this information.

Audio and microphone access

The metronome generates clicks using your browser’s audio engine. Easy Tap Tempo does not request microphone permission, record sound, accept audio uploads, or listen to the song you are playing. Finding a BPM depends on the rhythm of your taps.

Cookies, analytics, fonts, and bot checks

Easy Tap Tempo uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and general site usage. Google may use cookies or similar technologies and process information about your visits and browser or device. The site does not send tap timestamps, BPM readings, metronome settings, or microphone audio as Analytics event fields. See Google’s Privacy Policy for information about Google’s data handling. Fonts and interface assets are served with the site rather than requested from a third-party font service.

The Contact Us page loads Google reCAPTCHA to protect contact details from automated scraping. Google may process information from that interaction and your browser to assess whether it is genuine. See reCAPTCHA privacy information.

The service used to host or provide access to a preview may have its own essential cookies or account features. Those are separate from the tempo application and are governed by that provider’s policies.

Information needed to deliver the site

When you load any website, your browser sends information needed to deliver it. Hosting services may process an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and access time for delivery, security, and troubleshooting. Their configuration and policies determine how hosting logs are handled. These requests do not include your tap history or microphone audio.

When you contact us

After you complete bot verification on our Contact Us page, you can open the displayed address in your own email application. Messages include your email address and any information you choose to share. We use that information to respond to your question, investigate a reported issue, or handle your request. Email services process messages to deliver and store them. Please avoid sending passwords, private recordings, or other sensitive information.

The website does not collect the contents of your email. Correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any applicable recordkeeping obligations. We do not sell your contact information or use a support message to subscribe you to marketing.

Your choices and questions

You can use the counter without an account and without sending us a message. You can clear a current measurement using Reset or by reloading the page. To ask about information supplied in an email, or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, visit Contact Us and complete bot verification to reveal the contact details. We will consider your request under the rules that apply to it.

Changes to this policy

If our handling of information changes, we will update this page and its date. Questions about this policy can be sent through our Contact Us page.
